A very special course, with very special teachers, to ensure that you have the foundational skills, according to the yoga sutras and the teachings of Krisnamacharya, to progress in your study and practice of yoga therapy. 

Theoretical and experiential immersion in yoga including material from our regular Foundations of Viniyoga course as well as Module one of the VHF Post Graduate Diploma, Applications of Yoga and Observations of the Joints. Content includes philosophy, function and modification of asana for specific outcomes, course planning, the applications of yoga, the vital skills of observation, and more.
 
For yoga teachers, health practitioners, and all committed students of yoga and yoga therapy.

VHF-Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy

It’s not too late to satisfy the pre-requisites and join the current intake of the VHF-Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy (PGDYT) for Module Two commencing 29 May 2013. All you need to do is enrol in our April Foundational Yoga Therapy course and arrive two days early in May during which you will have the opportunity to work with Dr NC and a small group. Contact us now at . Please note that due to Dr NC’s international commitments there will be no new PGDYT intake in 2013.

YOGIC ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY

This 9 day residential training is the second module of the VHF Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy.  It may also may be taken as a stand alone course however pre-requisites apply

This module is for all yoga practitioners and yoga teachers who want to delve deeper into the inner aspects of yoga. For every yoga practitioner, teacher and aspiring therapist, the content of this module is very important. Yoga is practiced and applied on human individuals.  Therefore, complete understanding of the human individual is the basic pre-requisite.

In this module yogic anatomy, physiology and psychology are dealt with extensively taking concepts from various Upanishads and many yogic texts.  Participants will be introduced to what they are in reality and what their real essence is. In particular, we will study the therapeutic implications of the study of this human constitution. 

Please Note: Pre-requisites Apply.  If you wish to participate in this course or undertake the Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy, you will need to have covered the material from the Foundations of Viniyoga and Module One OR the Foundations of Yoga Therapy and join the private study group immediately preceding this module, with Dr NC 28 – 29 May 2013. The Sutras: An Ancient guidebook to modern life
