LIVING THE WISDOM OF YOGA

Powerful and Perfect Actions through Yoga with Saraswathi Vasudevan

3 day/2 night Residential Retreat

Tue 2 – Thurs 4 November 2010                              Theosophical Society Retreat Centre, Springbrook, QLD
10.30AM Tues - 3.30PM Thurs

This very special three day residential retreat is dedicated to a practical exploration of the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali.

Yoga and Action cannot be separated. Bhagavat Gita defines yoga as “dexterity in action”. This workshop presents the ways and means to weave the inner discipline of yoga into the fabric of our daily life so that every single, simple action can become powerful and perfect…

  • What is perfect action?

  • The paradigm for perfect actions through yoga.

  • How to know if we are on the right track?

  • How to refine actions and intentions behind our actions?

  • Different strategies for perfecting actions How to deal with the consequences of action?

  • What happens when actions become powerful and perfect

Important concepts and ideas from all the four chapters of the Yoga Sutra will be explored, with inclusions from other classical texts. Consistent with oral tradition, chanting the Sutras will be an integral part of the retreat.

You will study the Sutras from a completely new perspective that brings to light greater possibilities and potentialities hidden within the human constitution, that perfect actions can bring forth most effortlessly.

Moving beyond feeding the intellect, this workshop hopes to inspire deeper change through practices, experience, discussions, sharing and reflection, bringing the ancient wisdom of yoga into daily life, making it accessible and relevant, practical and simple, bridging the gap between “knowing” and “doing” so that you may eventually “become” that perfect action.

The cost for all tuition, all meals (vegetarian), and two nights accommodation is $495 if paid before 1 Oct 2010, otherwise the cost is $545.
